The LEISURE initiative will focus on improving the provision of leisure facilities in Gamlingay. The following list is not exhaustive, and will be validated and added to during the ‘needs analysis’ that will support the Parish Plan, but it does contain a list of those areas that FG! will be focusing on for analysis and potential improvement:-

• Community groups, clubs and societies
• Theatre
• Health & well-being
• Fitness
• Dance
• River Walk

During the Easter week in 2006 over 125(!) children from Gamlingay and the local area attended a week long series of workshops that covered Music, Stage Lighting, Stage Make-Up, Arts and Crafts and Musical Theatre. The culmination was a performance on the Saturday, based upon The Lion King, by the children for friends and family. Forward Gamlingay intend to build upon this highly successful week (thanks to Bridget and all the volunteers) and hope to provide the children with more opportunities in the future.
