Forward Gamlingay! is an initiative representing local clubs, groups and enterprises that benefit all ages.

The village of Gamlingay in Cambridgeshire has a population of about 3,500. We have two schools, a number of clubs catering for a variety of interests and most importantly a community that is prepared to invest time and effort to improve life for future generations. However, we have very few youth facilities, and inadequate sports facilities which has led to antisocial behaviour and disengaged youth.

The vision of Forward Gamlingay!is to expand and develop Sport, Youth, Education and Leisure facilities for the community”

The members of Forward Gamlingay! are local volunteers living, working and running leisure activities in the village. We are driven by a vision of how much better Gamlingay could be if it had a co-ordinated set of community facilities for ourselves and our children to use and enjoy. We have already built a modern and imaginative play area for our small children which shows what our team effort can accomplish.
